St. Andrew's School: High Prairie, AB

St. Andrews School requires a 1.0 F.T.E. Elementary Music Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year, with the possibility of extension if the candidate is successful. The start date is negotiable. The position requires the successful candidate to teach elementary music with some additional Junior High Health classes.


The successful candidate ideally will have knowledge and experience in elementary music, and a strong understanding of literacy, numeracy and social and emotional development. Experience working with First Nations, Metis and Inuit students is valued, with strengths in literacy, numeracy, First Nation, Metis & Inuit students, and social and emotional development. The successful candidate requires proficiency in the use of educational technology and an understanding of assessment for learning and is eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta.


The candidate must be willing to work in a rural Catholic community environment and be a team player willing to collaborate, communicate and work together. HFCRD is actively recruiting teachers for upcoming positions and welcomes new graduates to apply.  Preference will be given to candidates of the Catholic faith.
