The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is proud to announce the nomination of Lori Fox, a dedicated educator at St. Thomas More School in Fairview, for the 2024–2025 Excellence in Catholic Education Award. This prestigious provincial award, presented annually by the Council of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta (CCSSA), honours teachers who inspire students, nurture faith, and demonstrate a deep commitment to Catholic education.

Lori Fox has been selected to represent HFCRD for her remarkable service, humility, and lasting impact on both the school and greater community. Over the years, she has quietly led by example, building strong relationships, supporting Indigenous communities, and consistently advocating for the well-being of all students.

“Lori prefers to be the right hand (Matthew 6:3) of everything she does and stray away from any limelight or recognition,” said St. Thomas More Principal Thomas Fraser. “She is a pillar of the positive and thriving school community that we are blessed to be a part of in Fairview.”

Superintendent Betty Turpin praised Mrs. Fox for her unwavering faith and leadership.
“Lori embodies the spirit of Catholic Education through her selfless service, compassion, and quiet strength. We are honoured to have her represent our division.”

The Excellence in Catholic Education Award is presented today at the CCSSA’s SPICE (Sharing Purpose in Catholic Education) retreat in Kananaskis. Lori Fox will be recognized among Catholic Educators from across Alberta who demonstrate exceptional dedication to faith and learning.
