Peace River Broadcasting has been nominated for the Alberta School Boards Association - 2024 Zone 1 Friends of Education Award.
This year our Board of Trustees chose to nominate Peace River Broadcasting for their consistent and dedicated service to the public in ensuring important information is relayed to education stakeholders.
Peace River Broadcasting is a valuable asset to the community in providing reliable information in a timely manner, and fosters education within the school community by using products as a platform for students to flourish.
The Board is very appreciative of the time and commitment that Peace River Broadcasting gives to the parents and students in our school division. They are a true "Friend of Education".
The Alberta School Boards Association Zone 1 awards luncheon will take place in Grande Prairie on September 18th at the Holiday Inn & Suites.

Friends of Education Nomination
The HFCRD Board of Trustees have nominated Peace River Broadcasting for the Friends of Education Award.
“The Friends of Education Award recognizes individuals or organizations who are demonstrably committed to improving education for Alberta students and who have made a significant contribution to education in Alberta.” (Alberta School Boards Association)
HFCRD have chosen to nominate Peace River Broadcasting, for their support in relaying important school related messages in a timely manner, supporting students through work experience and career opportunities, being a platform for a weekly student generated radio program, promoting school events, airing public service announcements on educational support services, and helping to educate students on the radio and media industry.
