Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is proud to announce Victoria Cornick as the new Superintendent effective August 1st, 2025.
Mrs. Cornick has spent 20 years in the division. After receiving her Bachelor of Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Victoria started her career as a teacher at St. Stephen’s School in Valleyview in 2005. She remained at St. Stephen’s for eight years, including two years as an Assistant Principal. In 2013, she became the Principal of Holy Family School in Grimshaw. In 2014, Victoria graduated with a Master's degree in Educational Studies from the University of Alberta. She transferred to Peace River’s Good Shepherd School in 2020 for one year until she became the Principal of Glenmary School in Peace River.
In August of 2024 she transitioned to Central Office, spending a year as Assistant Superintendent of Human Services, before being promoted to her new role as Superintendent starting this August.
“I am honoured and excited to step into the role of Superintendent for a division that has been my home for the past 20 years”, says Cornick. “Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the dedication of our educators, the resilience of our students, and the strength of our community. This deep connection makes this opportunity all the more meaningful. I look forward to continuing to serve, support, and grow alongside the students, staff, and families of this incredible division as we build on our shared commitment to excellence in Catholic Education.”
HFCRD Board Chair Kelly Whalen expressed great enthusiasm for Victoria’s appointment to the position. “She brings 20 years of invaluable experience within our division, including time spent in numerous leadership roles. Her unwavering commitment ensures a promising and vibrant future for our schools.”
