Ecole Providence School in McLennan
The Board of Trustees has made the following announcement:
The Board hereby provides Notice of Motion regarding the proposed closure of École Providence School. In accordance with Board Policy 15, Sections 3.8–3.9, the motion will be presented at the April Board meeting, no fewer than 21 days following the community meeting scheduled for March 12, 2026.
St. Thomas More - New School Update
The planning phase for a new school at St. Thomas More in Fairview continues to move forward. The planning phase helps clarify the anticipated project scope and costs to support site readiness. Geo-technical contractors have been on site over the past few weeks.
3-Year Facility Capital Plan
The Board of Trustees approved the new 3-Year Facility Capital Plan.
Priority one remains a replacement school for St. Andrew’s in High Prairie.
Priority two is the modernization of Good Shepherd School.

Joint Meeting with Peace River School Division
The HFCRD Board of Trustees will meet with the Peace River School Division (PRSD) Board of Trustees at the PRSD Central Office on the evening of Thursday, May 21st. The annual meeting is held to ensure strong collaboration between the divisions.
Board Meeting Date Change
The Board of Trustees Meeting for the month of May was changed from Wednesday, May 20th to Thursday, May 21st, to match the date of the joint meeting with the Peace River School Division Board of Trustees. The change of date will cut costs for trustee travel expenses.
