Organizational Meeting: HFCRD Board of Trustees Oath of Office
In the Organizational Meeting, the incoming HFCRD Board of Trustees made their Oath of Office.
Kelly Whalen (Ward 6 - Peace River/Nampa) was unanimously voted in as Chair, while John Kuran (Ward 6 - Peace River/Nampa) was unanimously selected as Vice Chair.
The HFCRD Board of Trustees are as follows:
Leanne Cox (Ward 1 - High Prairie)
Victoria Patrick Barkhouse (Ward 2 - McLennan)
John Michael Pozniak (Ward 3 - Valleyview)
Michael Connell (Ward 4 - Manning/Fort Vermilion)
Jessica Richard (Ward 7 - Fairview)

Regular Meeting Highlights
The HFCRD enrollment summary as of September 30th, 2025, shows student growth at St. Andrew’s School in High Prairie, Glenmary School in Peace River, and Holy Family School in Grimshaw. Glenmary increased by 18 students from this time last year, Holy Family went up by 14, and 11 were added to St. Andrew’s.
The HFCRD Board of Trustees agrees to begin discussions with other neighboring school boards, including High Prairie School Division and Northern Gateway, to hold Joint Board Meetings. These meetings will focus on topics such as collaborative opportunities, resource sharing, future school construction, busing, and other areas of mutual interest. HFCRD also meets annually with the Peace River School Division.
