Fairview Trustee Jessica Richard takes Oath of Office
Jessica Richard took the Oath of Office and was officially sworn in as the Fairview Trustee.
Trustee Richard was part of the transfer of St. Thomas More from Grande Prairie Catholic School Division to Holy Family Catholic Regional Division.
Student Engagement Meeting
The next Student Engagement Meeting is taking place on Wednesday, November 27th.
The Board of Trustees, Superintendent, and Student Representatives gather to discuss topics brought forward by the students.
Topics brought up last year included Cell Phone Usage in School, Vaping, and Racism.
Grand Opening of St. Mary’s Catholic School
Trustee Michael Connell will be attending the Grand Opening event for St. Mary’s Catholic School in Fort Vermilion.
Toonies for Tuition Fundraiser Donation
The Board will be donating a gift basket featuring local health, food, and other handmade products to a silent auction fundraiser for Toonies for Tuition.
Many families in Canada need to pay tuition to attend their local Catholic school.
Toonies for Tuition is a National fundraiser that alleviates the financial burden on Catholic families who live in a province where Catholic education has limited or no public funding. Full public funding for Catholic schools only exists in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Northwest Territories & Yukon.
