The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is pleased to announce that Stéphane Gaudreau has been named Acting Principal at Good Shepherd School in Peace River.
“Stéphane has been an integral part of the Peace River School community since 2010,” says Superintendent Betty Turpin. “He is very involved in the community as a volunteer, and I look forward to supporting him in his new role at Good Shepherd.”
Having been born to a military family, Stéphane has experienced a variety of education systems in Canada and Germany. He graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2008 with a double major in Philosophy and Ethics in Society. He moved to Peace River in 2010 as a French Immersion Teacher at Glenmary school, where he was Vice Principal from 2016-2020. Stéphane spends much of his time volunteering to coach basketball and various other causes in the community, including social justice activities and the Alberta Francophone Games. In the Fall of 2023, he was named the Vice Principal of Good Shepherd School, where he fell in love with the school and its community.
“I am honoured and excited to lead a great team at Good Shepherd,” says Stéphane. “I have found my home in Peace River and am glad to remain here and continue on this journey with the GSS family.”
When he is not teaching or volunteering, Stéphane enjoys spending time with his wife, Jaimie, and his beautiful daughter, Mélodie.
