To support Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools (GPCSD) capital planning process, Alberta Infrastructure engaged consultants to complete an independent hazardous material assessment, facility condition assessment, and a life cycle costing assessment of the St. Thomas More School. Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is awaiting approval of the Ministerial Order to complete the transfer of the Ward, which includes the school and other assets. GPCSD has shared these government assessment reports with HFCRD, and Alberta Infrastructure has approved sharing with other stakeholders.
HFCRD will now be entering into discussions with Alberta Infrastructure and Alberta Education regarding the next steps in the process, and to determine the future of the building.
